This well-kept property is located only a few kilometers from the wine town of Canelli in in the heart of the Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont UNESCO World Heritage zone, and enjoys wonderful views. Canelli is known for its historic wine cellars - the so-called 'underground cathedrals' - and its wineries, which have been producing exquisite sparkling wines for 150 years. The town offers very good shopping facilities, excellent dining and various leisure activities.

The easily-accessible property is situated on a quiet lane that is used only by local residents. The larger towns of Asti, Alba and Acqui Terme are around 20 km, and the nearest motorway connection about 10 km away. The international airports of Milan, Turin and Genoa can be reached in 60 to 90 minutes; the beaches of the Riviera and the ski areas in the Western Alps in less than 2 hours.


Extensively renovated and refurbished in 2015, the former vineyard farmhouse today offers plenty of space for family and friends. Antique elements, such as the typical Piedmontese vaulted brick ceilings, can be found in several rooms, giving the house its distinctive character. The south-facing brick-built house has thick walls that keep the building cool in summer and warm in winter. All windows and glass doors are double-glazed, and the roof has been renewed and insulated.


Ground Floor

The main entrance to the building is located under the portico on the south side of the house. The large, cozy country kitchen has a pellet stove and a large breakfast table - the living room next to it has an open fireplace, another dining area and a glass door that leads to the terrace and the garden.

A large utility room with a lift and a WC are also located on the ground floor - the passenger lift is large enough for wheelchair use. There is also a workshop / garage and a boiler room, accessible only from the garden.

First Floor

A staircase leads from the entrance area to the first floor. There are 2 large double bedrooms - one of them with an en-suite bathroom - a smaller bedroom; a large, extended attic room with its own small bathroom, plus a closet-sized bedroom and a further bathroom. One of the two large bedrooms has access to the south-facing terrace located above the portico.

The well-tended property is fully fenced, with a large wrought iron gate that leads from the lane into a gravel courtyard area in front of and beside the house - there is space for several vehicles. The garden around the house is divided into different areas, and the large lawn behind the house offers plenty of space for a swimming pool.

The garden is easy to maintain, and well-equipped with various trees that offer either fruit or shade.

Our personal opinion: this well-maintained property has an optimal location, in the countryside but also close to town. The house is immediately habitable and offers plenty of space, plus it features a passenger lift - seldom found in properties of this type.
