This attractive winery enjoys a panoramic position on the top of its own hill, with a magnificent view of the western Alps. The two wine towns of Asti and Alba can be reached within 15 to 20 minutes, while a bank, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, schools, supermarkets and pharmacies can all be found nearby.

The nearest motorway / autostrada access is about 10 minutes away, the international airports of Milan, Turin and Genoa are 60 to 90 minutes away, and the beaches of the Riviera and the ski resorts of the western Alps can be reached in around an hour.

The Vineyard Estate

Family-owned for four generations, the property hosts a well-run business with its own wine production and an established brand. The production is mainly of the red varieties Barbera, Nebbiolo, Freisa and Bonarda, but the white varieties Arneis and Chardonnay are also grown. The winery includes a facility for on-site wine sales.

The property includes 3 buildings surrounding a large courtyard: a typical Piedmontese wine farmhouse, a winery and a taverna. All 3 buildings are renovated and in a very good condition.

The Farmhouse

The elongated 130-year-old building is divided into two parts: the first half includes a large sales / exhibition space, an office and a storage room on the ground floor, plus an apartment comprising 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living-dining room and a kitchen on the first floor.

The second half of the house comprises a large kitchen, a living room and a utility room on the ground floor, plus 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor.

There is a very large storage room at the back of the building.

The Winery

The well-equipped winery of about 300 square meters has all the facilities required to process and bottle high-quality wines. On average, 20,000 to 30,000 bottles of quality wine are produced each year. However, the maximum production capacity is around 75,000 liters per annum.

A tunnel dug into the hillside behind the winery is used for storage, as it has been for centuries. The constant temperature of 13 degrees Centigrade and a relative humidity of 80% provide ideal conditions for the natural maturation of the wines.

The Taverna

The cozy taverna is used for wine tastings and events - it features lots of wood panelling, antique bricks and a wood-burning stove. It also has a small kitchen and bar area, a guest WC, and a shaded veranda for use in the summer months. Wines are stored in a large underground cellar.

Vineyards & Grounds

Overall, the estate covers around 8 hectares, of which about 4 hectares are vineyards. The vineyards surround the hilltop winery, and therefore face in all directions - they are between 15 and 50 years old, in full production, and very well maintained.

A private lane and driveway lead past a small pond, belonging to the winery, to the courtyard between the buildings. The courtyard includes some planted areas, and is large enough to create a garden with a swimming pool. The remaining land includes meadows, a hazelnut grove, and some woodland.

Our personal opinion: the estate is a rare find - it has excellent development potential in both the wine and the hospitality sectors.
