This attractive, historic winery is located in the rolling hills of the Alto Monferrato, not far from the wine town of Moncalvo and near to Montemagno, Altavilla Monferrato, Casorzo, Vignale Monferrato, Cuccaro Monferrato, Lu and Fubine - inviting places with castelli and historic centers just waiting to be discovered, and offering very good infrastructure as well as some excellent restaurants. The well-known Magara golf course at Fubine is just a 10 minute drive from the winery.

The unique character of the region attracts travelers and artists from all over the world: the internationally-renowned dance festival at nearby Vignale Monferrato takes place every summer. The first floor of the winery houses a 170 m² gallery space, used extensively for events such as readings and art exhibitions.

The property includes 3 buildings that surround a large garden, open to the southwest with a fabulous view over the rolling Monferrato hills. The Main House

Built in the 18th century, the wine farmhouse has been extensively extended and developed over the years. The current owner has carried out a comprehensive renovation, keeping antique features wherever possible and preserving the character of the historic building.

Ground Floor

The private living area in the main house comprises a large, comfortable living room with access to a dining room featuring an impressive ancient vaulted ceiling. A small staircase leads down from the kitchen to an antique wine cellar under the house. There is also a guest WC and a large storage room on the ground floor.

First Floor

A staircase leads from the kitchen to a converted hayloft on the first floor, now an impressive 66 m² living room. This room has an open fireplace, large curved windows giving lots of light, and underfloor heating. The large room adjacent to it is used as a work space.

The first floor also houses 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for private use.


The large, imposing portico is located in front of the private living area, and provides direct access to the kitchen. This shady portico offers lots space for summer dining and relaxation.


The main building includes 5 independent apartments, two of which offer disabled access. The apartments sleep either 2, 4 or 6 people; each has a kitchen area and is generously furnished.

The Guest House

The guest house is attached to one side of the main house, and used as a separate unit for vacation rentals. The Winery & Art Gallery

The modern winery is located in a separate building that dates from the 20th century. The winery produces the estate's own high-quality organic wines from grapes produced in the estate's own vineyards; it includes maturation, bottling and storage facilities. It produces between 16,000 and 20,000 bottles, depending on the vintage, which are sold mainly within the agritourism enterprise.

The 170 m² gallery space on the first floor above the winery has a very high ceiling and is flooded with light. It is ideal for various events, and has been used for art exhibitions in the past.

Vineyard, Garden & Grounds

Altogether the property has about 60,000 m², about half of which are vineyards. The remaining area includes some fields planted with medicinal herbs, some woodland, a Walnut grove, and a pasture for one to two horses.

Vineyard: the vineyards are located behind the main house. Altogether about 30,000 (3 Ha) are planted with biologically certifed vines: 23,000 m² with Barbera DOC, 3500 m² with Chardonnay DOC, and 3500 m² with Arneis DOC.

Garden and grounds: the buildings surround a large garden with various fruit trees, lawns and idyllic seating areas. There is also a pizza oven and a barbecue area, plus a swimming pool with sun terrace some distance away at the far side of the garden.

Our personal opinion: this is a modern winery and a wonderful place for the creatively-minded in search of an ideal country retreat. Thanks to the well-established rental and wine businesses, it also offers significant and flexible revenue-generating potential.
